Scholarships

In keeping with Fruitvale School's long tradition of education, we sponsor two $300 scholarships to college-bound Western Placer Unified School District high school seniors. The scholarships are funded through the sale of donated used books and ceramic pieces, rental revenue, occasional yard sales and specifically directed donations.

General requirements of the scholarships are as follows:

  1. Student must live within the historical geographic boundaries of the old Fruitvale School district (generally south of Wise Road, north of Virginiatown Road, west of Fowler Road and east of McCourtney Road)
  2. Student must have a minimum overall 3.0 GPA
  3. Student will receive scholarship upon proof of full-time enrollment in the college or vocational school of their choice
  4. Proof of enrollment w/request for award money must be submitted to Fruitvale School, P.O. Box 58, 3425 Fruitvale Road, Lincoln, Ca 95648 no later than October 1st of the award year
  5. Recipient (and family members) are encouraged to attend the Fruitvale October potluck for introduction and recognition
